      GALLERY OPERATIONS COORDINATOR - FULL TIME OR PART TIME

       

      Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
      Location: Eye Like Gallery, Beaconsfield (this is not a remote role)
      Working days: Monday to Friday and two Saturdays per month (you will get one day off midweek when working at the weekend)
      Hours: 9am – 5.30pm (with 1 hour break)
      Holiday: 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays
      Key requirement: Full driving licence essential (you’ll be using the company van, and must be willing and able to drive on motorways)
      Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 depending on experience + bonus
       
      Part Time (22.5 hours per week)
      Location: Eye Like Gallery, Beaconsfield (this is not a remote role)
      Working days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and one Saturday per month (you will get Wednesday off when working at the weekend)
      Hours: 9am – 5.30pm (with 1 hour break)
      Holiday: Pro-rata 25 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays
      Key requirement: Full driving licence essential (you’ll be using the company van, and must be willing and able to drive on motorways)
      Salary: £12,000 - £15,000 depending on experience + bonus

      Eye Like is a contemporary art gallery and framers, based in Beaconsfield and online (www.eyelikegallery.com) We sell original art and limited edition prints from a range of international artists. We’re a friendly, family-owned and run business that has been operating for eight years, and our ethos remains the same since we began – we believe that art should be enjoyed and accessible to all.

       

      WHAT IS THE ROLE ALL ABOUT?

      If you like being hands on, and you’re organised, a multi-tasker and enjoy liaising with people, then keep on reading. (If you enjoy sitting down all day, this won’t be right for you!)
       
      We’re growing fast, and this is a brand new and varied role within the Eye Like team. You will primarily be responsible for making sure that all orders are distributed efficiently and on time, whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate for this role will be motivated, eager to manage the entire order cycle and willing to undertake physical tasks.
       
      Due to the nature of the role, you’ll be based in the gallery in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire (not remote working), as well as carrying out deliveries during working hours.
       
      Overall, we’re looking for someone who is not only capable of carrying out the required tasks, but an individual who stands by our company values, is compatible with the team and integrates smoothly into the business.

       

      WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

      Here are some of the things that your day-to-day role will entail:
       
      • Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, and consumers
      • Providing excellent customer service to our customers
      • Being the first point of call for customer shipping queries and order requirements
      • Answering questions in a timely manner including exchange and refund requests
      • Providing customers with the fastest and most cost-effective shipping options
      • Processing orders and organising deliveries with the relevant couriers
      • Monitoring the progress to ensure a smooth delivery
      • Wrapping and packing of consumer orders in a safe manner
      • Delivering orders to clients within London and the Home Counties
      • Monitoring inbound deliveries and ensuring that the orders are delivered on time
      • Assisting with framing deliveries and ensuring our storeroom is organised correctly
      • Improving processes, if you notice there is a recurring problem, finding a suggestion
      • Regularly performing quality control checks on products
      • Managing products into the gallery, including subsequent unwrapping
      • Assisting with the taking down and the hanging of the artwork
      • Producing artwork product tickets, and ensuring that these are up to date
      • Attending and assisting with shows and exhibitions
      • Ensuring the gallery is stocked with essentials (stationary, packing materials, etc)
      • Opening and closing the gallery as appropriate

       
      You will be working directly with the Eye Like Directors and will be involved in the strategy and analysis of our logistics flow and delivery options.

       

      WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

      To be successful in this role we’d love you to have the following skills and experience:
       
      • Relevant experience of managing customer orders is preferred
      • Computer literate (ideally Macs) and tech savvy
      • Very organised with a keen eye for detail
      • Able to prioritise your time and complete tasks effectively
      • An understanding of customer service principles
      • A ‘can-do’ and positive attitude
      • Ideally have an interest in art and/or interiors
      • Willingness to listen and learn
