WJP is a Dutch photographer who travels the world to photograph sharks and other underwater life. Above the water line he makes paintings of his pictures. His shark paintings mostly have a shark preservation theme; every year 100 million sharks are killed by humans, most for shark fin soup by chinese poachers.
Cows, horses, bees, dogs, alligators, snakes and many more creatures are responsible for more deaths per year than sharks.
WJP just paints the sharks – the background tells the message.
