We can't keep this quiet any longer, there's something VERY EXCITING coming soon at Eye Like Gallery!
Here's a clue. Who is the most famous living contemporary artist? We say... BANKSY. With over 10 million followers on Instagram the bad boy of the urban and street art scene has now become the darling of the big auction houses across the world.
Banksy's iconic 'Show Me The Monet' pastiche is up for auction at Sotheby's on Wednesday 21st October. Featuring his trademark orange handled shopping trolleys, which also appear in his famous print Trolleys, the piece is tipped to sell for up to £10 million.
Now most of us can only dream of owning a real Banksy, but perhaps that's about to change! To make the day of the auction even more nail-biting in anticipation, on the same day at 12pm GMT, we'll be releasing a selection of extremely sought after official prints, posters and memorabilia by the legendary artist on our website. And we won't be asking £10m! We'll have some rather more affordable pieces available from £400 upwards!
More details will be announced this week, so keep your eyes peeled... And no, we're not off our trolley (hint hint) - this really is happening!!
